Rev. Tyson L. Frey, Pastor
Tyson is married to his wife Cathy and they have three children and four grandchildren. He is a cum laude graduate of Catawba College with a B.A. and a double major in History and Religion. Tyson received his Master of Divinity degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1980. Rev. Frey was ordained on June 1, 1980.
In 1992, Tyson received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary in the area of Christology. His doctoral dissertation was entitled “An Instrument to Discern Images of Christ Operating in U.C.C. Congregations.” His work in the area of Christology has complimented his ministry over the years.
The Friedens congregation called Tyson to be their pastor on June 12, 2016 and he began his ministry at Friedens Church on August 28, 2016. A joyful Installation service was held on December 11, 2016.
Some of Tyson’s hobbies include: baseball, swimming, reading American history, and traveling.
