The liturgical season of Easter ends on Pentecost Sunday. Red is the color of fire and represents the Holy Spirit. The sanctuary will be adorned with red. We invite you to help us celebrate Pentecost by wearing red next Sunday, May 28.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in our Music Ministry this year, including our wonderful guest musicians. Our choir season will be wrapping up with our last group anthem in June. If you are interested in enhancing our worship services this summer, we are looking for instrumentalists, solo vocalists or group singers for worship. Please contact Shirley Ferreri with your suggestions. Friedens UCC is continuing to search for a Church Musician, but in the meantime with your help, we will continue to “Praise the Lord in Song!”

Do you knit or crochet or know somebody who does? Friedens is beginning a Wrapped in Love Prayer Shawl Ministry. This ministry is an opportunity to care for others through knitting and crocheting. Shawls will be given to those who are sick, grieving, hurting or going through life’s changes. The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way. Any talent from beginner to advanced is welcome. Simple patterns are provided or use a pattern of your own. Thanks to a generous donation, we have plenty of yarn for you to use. Contact Pastor Corrine or Denise in the church office at 610-987-3536 for information on how to start.
Due to the rising cost of eggs, we will only be using plastic eggs for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt this year. We are asking anyone who wishes to donate either plastic eggs, candy or money to leave your items in the narthex. A box is provided for plastic eggs and candy, and a basket is provided for monetary donations. If you have any questions, please contact Tonya Fisher or Cindy Conrad.
